New Term, New Connections: Young Parents Support Group Kicks Off This August

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding – and challenging – roles there is, especially when you’re navigating it as a young mum or dad. That’s why we’re so excited to invite local young parents to join our Young Parents Support Group, kicking off in Term 3 at the Youth Program Centre in Muswellbrook.

This friendly, welcoming group is designed specifically for parents aged 25 and under, offering a safe space to connect, share, learn, and take a little time out for yourself – all while your bub is right there beside you.

The Details

  • Starts: Thursday 7 August

  • Time: 10:00am – 11:30am

  • Where: Youth Program Centre, Muswellbrook

  • Runs: Every Thursday during Term 3

  • Cost: Free (thanks to the generous support of Muswellbrook RSL)

  • Bookings essential – limited places available

Each week features a mix of fun and informative sessions covering topics like:

  • Mum and bub health

  • Simple and nutritious food ideas

  • Mindfulness and self-care

  • Early literacy and play

  • Music and story time for little ones

There’s morning tea provided (because we know how much you deserve it!), and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and just take a breath with other parents who get it.

The program is delivered by Upper Hunter Youth Services in partnership with Upper Hunter Community Services, with a focus on creating community, connection, and confidence.

Whether you’re a first-time parent or already juggling more than one little one, we’d love to welcome you into the group.
